Shortly after I taught myself to crochet, I fell in love with knit-look crochet.  I can't knit a stitch to save my life so I'm always trying to incorporate stitches or stitch patterns into my designs that resemble knit stitches. The Abrielle Baby Blanket combines the easiest knit-look crochet stitch and a favorite textured stitch pattern of mine. I crocheted my baby blanket using two colors of yarn to create a wide striped blanket, but it's also gorgeous in a solid color.

Abrielle Baby Blanket Instructions

Tip 1: Make sure not to work your sl sts and ch-1's too tightly as it can greatly affect the gauge and overall size of your blanket. Check out my video tutorial HERE for several tips and tricks!

Tip 2:If you're having trouble keeping gauge between the 2 sections, try adjusting your hook size up or down. One of my pattern testers found it helpful to go down a hook size for the textured sections.
